Yari collects personal identification data required to register user accounts, verify identity, and prevent fraud across our ride-sharing platform in Nepal.

3. Fare Calculations & Digital Payment Gateways

eSewa / Khalti / Fonepay

Transparent fare computations based on distance, duration, and local municipality rates with flexible Nepal payment options.

Key Provisions & Implementation:

  • Fare estimates generated prior to ride dispatches based on distance and route data.
  • Supported Payment Methods: Cash directly to driver, eSewa, Khalti, or Fonepay Bank QR Code.
  • We record transaction IDs, timestamps, and fare totals. Sensitive banking passwords or wallet PINs are NEVER stored on Yari servers.

4. Rider Safety, OTP Verification & Emergency SOS

24/7 Safety Protocol

Integrated safety features designed to protect passengers before, during, and after every ride across Nepal.

Key Provisions & Implementation:

  • Mandatory 4-Digit OTP Code: Given to the passenger and entered by the driver to start the ride.
  • 1-Tap Emergency SOS: Broadcasts live GPS coordinates to pre-selected trusted contacts and Nepal Police dispatches.
  • Zero Tolerance Policy: Immediate permanent ban for harassment, abusive behavior, or hazardous cargo transit.

5. Information Sharing & Law Enforcement Protocol

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third-party ad networks or commercial data brokers.

  • Shared with Driver Partner: Pickup location, passenger name, and masked phone contact during active rides only.
