YARI CUSTOMER USER AGREEMENT

Effective Date: July 23, 2026 | Governing Laws: Civil Code 2074 (Muluki Devani Samhita), Consumer Protection Act 2075 (Nepal)

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, registering, or using the Yari Customer App, you agree to be bound by this User Agreement. If you do not accept these terms, you may not access or request rides on the Yari platform in Nepal.

2. Nature of Yari Services

Yari is an independent technology platform connecting riders with third-party driver partners. Yari does not own or operate transport vehicles directly; all transportation services are performed by independent licensed driver partners.

3. Rider Conduct & Safety Guidelines

  • Riders must verify their mobile phone number via SMS OTP and provide accurate profile information.
  • Riders must wear helmets on bike/scooter rides and seatbelts in car rides as mandated by Nepal Traffic Police laws.
  • Carrying illegal goods, weapons, or hazardous materials is strictly prohibited.
  • Causing damage to a driver's vehicle will result in account suspension and financial liability for repair.

4. Fares, Payments & Cancellations

Fares are calculated dynamically based on distance, municipality service rates, and vehicle type. Payments may be made via Cash or supported Nepal digital payment options (eSewa, Khalti, Fonepay QR).

YARI DRIVER PARTNER AGREEMENT

1. Independent Partner Status

Driver partners operate as independent contractors and not employees of Yari. Driver partners maintain full freedom to choose when to log online and accept ride dispatches.

2. Vehicle & Licensing Mandates

  • Must hold an active Nepali Driving License (Category A for bikes/scooters, Category B for cars).
  • Must possess a valid Vehicle Bluebook with up-to-date annual tax payment stamps.
  • Must maintain active third-party vehicle insurance and ensure roadworthy vehicle safety.

3. Mandatory OTP Verification

Drivers must enter the passenger's 4-digit OTP prior to starting any ride. Starting a ride without OTP entry is strictly prohibited for passenger security.

4. Zero-Tolerance Conduct Policy

Immediate permanent suspension and referral to Nepal Police will occur for:

  • Operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI).
  • Overcharging passengers beyond official app fare rates.
  • Location spoofing, app modification, or fraudulent ride completions.
  • Verbal abuse or physical harassment of passengers.
